Helium and Its Effects

Helium is available in two states. One is gaseous and the other being liquid. Liquid Helium is odorless, extremely cold, non-corrosive, colorless and nonflammable. Helium, whether in the gaseous or liquid state, does not react with other compounds and elements under usual conditions.

What are the health effects of helium?

Helium is a non-irritating, colorless, tasteless and odorless gas. It does not provide any cautionary advice. Human beings do not possess the sense to detect the existence of helium in that area. Though helium is inert and non-poisonous, it may still choke people by displacing oxygen in the air to a level that is far below the level required to support life.  For living beings, inhaling helium to excessive amounts can cause nausea, loss of consciousness, vomiting, dizziness, and even death in some cases. If a death takes place, it may be the result of miscalculation of judgment, confusion or due to loss of consciousness that does not let the victim come to self-rescue. If the oxygen levels are down, a person can get unconscious or meet death within seconds without any warning.

Due to its unique properties, Helium is generally found in its gaseous state. This gas is valued for Leak Detection and as a Liquid for Cooling. Several industries use Helium because of its properties to optimize productivity and performance, reduce labor costs and for safer operations.

Now the production and usage of liquid helium have become easy with MVS Engineering Pvt. Ltd.Their highly experienced team uses all their industrial and application knowledge to provide the users with a completely reliable liquid helium to meet their distinctive requirements. Oxygen Generators for Hospitals

Oxygen has several medical uses. It is used to treat several chronic and acute health issues. Oxygen therapy is used in pre-hospital settings like an ambulance or a hospital setting that requires emergency situations. Oxygen generators for medical use depend upon several factors that include the place where the device is to be placed, the demand of the user, patient’s requirements and the opinion of medical professionals.

Uses of oxygen therapy for severe medical situations

When a medical emergency arrives, oxygen therapy is provided to patients in the ambulance and at the hospital also. In an ambulance, oxygen therapy can be used as a way of resuscitating the patient or in the case of seizure, anaphylaxis, trauma, and hypothermia.
In Hypoxemia, a condition where the patient’s oxygen level gets lower in the blood due to some injury or illness, oxygen therapy is given to the patient to increase the level of oxygen until that abundant level of oxygen in the body is achieved.

Uses of oxygen therapy for chronic medical situations

Oxygen therapy is used to deliver supplemental oxygen to patients who are suffering from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Diseases (COPD). These types of diseases generally occur due to the long term effect of smoking. Patients suffering from this condition require additional oxygen either permanently or occasionally. Some of the chronic medical conditions that require oxygen therapy include chronic asthma, Heart failure, Pulmonary Hypertension, Cystic fibrosis and so on.

Why is it important to get Medical oxygen Generators?

The increasing issues related to the availability of medical oxygen have turned everyone’s attention to the need for on-site medical oxygen generators in hospitals. While oxygen cylinders are used widely in hospitals but using cylinders have various disadvantages. Therefore, hospitals are now choosing oxygen generators over oxygen cylinders.

Benefits of using oxygen generators:

Oxygen generators are cost-effective as compared to the cylinders.
It delivers a high purity gas which is completely reliable but gas delivered in a cylinder cannot be trusted upon.
It delivers a continuous supply of gas that remains unaffected even with the fluctuating demand for oxygen.

MVS Engineering Pvt. Ltd. manufactures Oxygen Generators and other Gas Plants that offer cost-effective products to its clients as per their requirements. The company has been in the marketplace since 1977 satisfying each and every customer with its products and services.
