Broadly speaking, Hydrogen generators are divided into two
segments. First one is on-site hydrogen generators for industrial purposes, the
other being compact lab gas generators. On-site hydrogen
generators are installed directly at consumer’s premises and hydrogen
is produced at the siteitself and hydrogen is delivered to the process by a
dedicated high pressure hydrogen pipeline. Compact lab gas generators are
smaller in size and are commonly used in the lab for delivering gas for small
hydrogen requirements such as gas chromatography as carrier gas or FID.
